Why is there a charge?

We have recently procured a large number of training assets for use in the District to deliver these courses partly with thanks from a number of donations/grants. As members need to maintain their First Aid qualifications, so do our Trainers. The funds raised will be used to ensure that learners have access to a variety of training resources on the course and to maintain the competence of our trainers.

Please liaise directly with your Group who should be able to advise what funding is available to support you with the cost of this course.

What should I bring/wear?

Please bring a pen with you. There is no need to wear uniform and please wear trousers due to the practical work.

Will refreshments be provided?

Tea, Coffee & Biscuits will be provided. If you have any specific needs (e.g. decaf, soya milk), please bring your own on this occasion.

Is this a First AId Qualification?

This course will include a Scout First Response course with certificate of attendance - while this is not a first aid qualification some organisations do accept it.

Is the course open to non-Scouts?

This course is only open to Leaders, Young Leaders, Explorer Scouts, Network Scouts, Other Adult members of Scouting and Guide Leaders. It is not open to the general public.

Is there an age limit to attend the course?

The course is open to Young Leaders and Leaders, so the minimum age is 14.
